Sophie Hogarth is a Principal Software Engineer who switched careers from working in the Operations Department at Capital One. She was only introduced to tech in her mid 20s when looking for a new career path. She used her network to find a mentor to help her learn to code, and now five years later is a lead engineer working in the ingestion and storage of real time data. Having come from a more equal gender split in Operations, Sophie is a passionate advocate for women in tech, especially supporting those who come from non-traditional backgrounds or who are just starting out in their career.
