Beckie is Founder of Reframe Women in Tech Conference and Mum to Ethan and Emmie, She founded Reframe Women in Tech Conference in 2019 with the burning question, why shouldn’t learning, development, networking be accessible to all? Having now hosted the event in Manchester for 3 years with over 1400 attendees, the reframe mission is spreading it’s wings continuing Beckie’s pledge to create accessibility for all a reality with the event taking place in London for the first time in September 2023.
With a career that’s always been focused on a passion for people Beckie is an executive coach with over 18 years of HR and people development experience. She has a focus on talent management, team effectiveness, continuous performance development, building a diverse workforce and flexible working and has acted as a global HR leader, spearheading business growth for international tech companies. As a woman in tech facing barriers upon returning to work from maternity leave she was inspired to co-found Women in Tech North, a community group for women just like her, from this, Tech Returners was born with the mission to address diversity in tech and help individuals who had taken a career break to return to tech.
Reframe Women in Tech is the winner of the Makers Women in Software Awards ChangeMaker Award for 2023, Beckie has been voted one of the Top 30 Women in Tech for Greater Manchester 2018 and was named one of Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in Tech from 2019 through to 2023. She has also won several industry awards including Northern Power Women Transformational Leader in 2021 and The Digital and Technology Innovator award at Inspiring Women in 2022.
