Speaker profile

Rebecca is Group Legal Director for Corporate, Commercial and Compliance at Vodafone Group Plc leading an international team of 60. Her commercial legal teams comprise procurement, roaming, legal technology, commercial operations and IP.  Rebecca strives to lead her teams so that they may thrive.

Rebecca is a first class honours History graduate (UCL) with an early legal career in the City of London which included a number of years as an associate at Slaughter and May. Before she joined Vodafone, Rebecca commenced her in-house career with Thomas Cook culminating in her role as the Group General Counsel. These were nine amazing years in an extraordinary company which ended with the company’s sad demise in 2019.

Developing strong relationships underpins everything Rebecca does, both professionally and personally. Rebecca believes that these relationships combined with technical excellence, which is the foundation on which good judgement is built, provide us with the support, consistency, challenge and growth in good times and bad. However, above all, Rebecca considers family and friends, our well-being and the feeling that we belong should matter most and will allow us all to make our difference.

Rebecca is also an Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute and a director of Vodafone Sales and Services Limited and Vodafone Group Services Limited.

Outside work Rebecca loves to travel and enjoys musical theatre.  Rebecca has three children and lives in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.  When she is not working you will most likely find her practicing yoga or on her peloton bike!
