Bethany is an Engineer within the Tesco Innovation Lab, having recently joined both Tesco and the Innovation team. She brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles at Lloyds Banking Group and Zilch Technology, where she spent the last five years of her engineering career. Bethany’s journey into software development began in an unconventional way; she started her career in HR at Lloyds Banking Group, but she discovered software development, leading her to self-teach coding and transition into a software development role within the bank. Since then, she has held several software development positions, continuously seeking out projects to enhance her skills and leveraging her unique career background to infuse a business mindset into her development work. As a self-taught developer, Bethany is passionate about supporting those new to or interested in tech. She has mentored numerous individuals at the start of their development journeys, sharing her knowledge and experience.
Outside of work, Bethany enjoys cooking and exploring new places with her two dogs, Nelly and Ruby.
