- Cooden Tax Consulting are a niche tax consultancy. We specialise in helping companies to identify their potential to claim Research & Development Tax Credits and then support them with the preparation of the technical elements, calculating the eligible costs and the financial benefits arising from it. Set up by Simon Bulteel in January 2013, we’ve supported over 130 businesses across a variety of industries to claim in excess of £16m of Tax Relief.
The Tax Relief was introduced to the Tax Legislation on 1 April 2000 by the Blair Government and has been improved upon by every Government since. Whilst to the untrained eye the tax relief may seem very narrow in its scope, it is in fact a lot wider. If your company operates in the STEM industries or has undertaken a project that involves Science or Technology it is likely that some of it will be R&D.
