The work we do

We are using digital, data and technology to build capability, work smarter and more efficiently. We want to create a digitally enabled end-to-end justice system which can adapt and respond to changing needs. We also make sure all our staff have the tools and technology they need to keep tribunals, courts and prisons operating effectively. Millions of people every year interact with our services, and our work plays a vital role in improving access to justice and making that experience much easier and less distressing for our users.

Led by users, driven by data, flexible in our approach.

Our values are important to making Justice Digital a great place to work and achieving our business goals. Our culture helps us to build capability, work smarter and more efficiently. Everything we do is centred around being led by our users, driven by data and flexible in our approach.

Promoting Fairness

As part of our commitment to Levelling Up, we want the Civil Service to have a truly diverse workforce and culture of openness and inclusivity, as a means of delivering better outcomes to the citizens we serve. Our aim is to be a place that:

Values diversity of teams – challenging groupthink and inspiring a greater diversity of thinking.

Values and invests in its people – enabling career development through accessible and universal training.

Has collaborative partnerships underpinned by our values – systems and communities working collectively to deliver improved inclusion.

Tackles bullying, harassment and discrimination – with specific actions for departments to take in continuing to address bullying, harassment and discrimination

Tests its policies – with activity to be data-driven, evidence-led, and delivery focussed
