Why joining the UK Export Academy should be at the top of your to-do list

The UK Export Academy (UKEA) is a free online training programme provided by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and is designed to give UK companies the know-how to sell their products and services overseas and grow their international sales. It is open to any business in the UK who wants to reach overseas customers in the future, as well as those who might already be selling abroad and want to expand into new markets.

Then you won’t want to miss out on the session that the UK Export Academy are hosting this Wednesday, 18 September at 10.00 – 11.00am, where you will be able to hear from two successful female CEOs who have succeeded in taking their business to the world, with support from UKEA and DBT.

Helen Tonks MBE, Co-Founder of hydraulic equipment and systems provided Hydraulics Online, and Elizabeth Vega OBE, Group CEO of business management company Informed Solutions, will provide their hints, tips and advice on how to grow your business overseas, so you can do it too!

Helen and Elizabeth will be answering key questions such as:

• how they took their first steps in selling overseas and how they found their first international customers
• their advice for how to choose an export market suitable for your business
• how to tap into the free government support from the Department for Business and Trade

 

There will also be time for Q&A – so please bring along your burning questions for Helen and Elizabeth!
